New fields/tables in Repository

Hi Folks,

To extract the check tables from r/3 a program is using SE38.

Suppose we add a field + look up table[having customising values of R/3] in the repository. How will the values in the lookup table get updated ? Do we have to modify the checktable extraction program ? or is the program designed to extract all check tables in material master/vendor master.

Regards,

Vinay

Hi Vinay,

As far as I have seen, the standard extract program extracts all the check tables for standard repositories like Customer, material and vendor.

If you have added another field/Lookup table which you need to populate with customizing values of R/3 then you would have to accordingly modify the program.

You will also have to create your own map to load the data into the lookup table/field.

Hope this helps.

Thanks Pooja,

The std repo of customer/vendor/matl does not contain all the fields of their respective master data objects. Hope I am right ?

I know for sure that for all the fields that are in the SAP supplied repo have been taken care in the extraction program but does this program cover all the check tables in say ... matl master ?

Vinay

Vinay,

The patch given by SAP for check table extraction from R/3 is only for some standard check tables. This doesnt contain custom check table extraction option.

The solution in this case is to write custom extraction programs (or use SE16) and then import into MDM.

Anand.
