Dear All,

Consider an Investment Project (WBS P).

Consider an Asset Under Construction (number 40...) that is valued 3 000 000 €

Condider that this AUC is partially transfered on august 2022 (2 000 000 €) to a Definitive Asset (number 80...).

=> on August 2022, AUC 40... is then valued 1 000 000 € (and Definitive Asset 80... is valued 2 000 000 € and is depreciated on this basis).

after a few months...

Let's consider that we buy on Investment WBS P : 300 000 € on the 15/10/2022 (posting date)

On the 31/10/2022 we want those 300 000 € to be affected from the Project to the AUC, but we do not want that any further amount could be affected in october from AUC to Definitive Asset).

So we expect 300 000 € to be transfered from the Project to the AUC 40..., and that the AUC 40... should now be valued 1 300 000 €.

We have this Settlement Rule that was created on the WBS /P :

We go on app."Run Settlement Actual"

We Select the relevant WBS /P:

We Click on (test) Run :

Here we are a little confused with the processing type. We think that processing type Automatic will make it possible to transfer charges from the WBS to the AUC, and only them. We also think that Full Settlement will try to run both rules (from WBS to AUC and from AUC to Definive Asset). Thus, Full Settlement should provoke an error as the rule with fixed amount of 2 000 000 should be transfered from the AUC to the Definitive Asset , whereas AUC is only valued 1 300 000 €.

Is that correct ? Should we the just select "Automatic" to get only the settlements from WBS to AUC ?

Please also notice that the "Planned Finish" date in Project Control of Project P is in the past. If it has any influence on the way Processing "Automatic" and Processing "Full Settlement" do work...

Kind regards,

Guillaume
