MTS scenarios

Customer x wants 100 qty of FG with shelf life more than 10 months. Plant stock is available for 200 but all are less than 10 month shelf life. When MRP run happens I want sales order demand not to consume from stock as we don’t have 10 month shelf life. System should create a new planned order to produce new batches .how to achieve this ?

Hello

MRP does not consider the batch expiration date when planning a material. In standard, you can use transaction QA07 to automatically make batches close to the expiration date not relevant to MRP.

Another alternative is to create your own solution using a BAdI, to exclude batches expired from MRP. If you are using classic MRP, you can consider BAdI MD_ADD_ELEMENTS and if you are using MRP Live you need to consider the equivalent AMDP BAdI.

Yes Caetano , We plan to restrict batches with are closer to expiration and make mrp not count restricted batch, but even we figured out Batch is not a standard MRP element.

Hello,

You can try MRP run at Storage location MRP area level by excluding stock of other storage location.
