Standard RF-button to list exception codes?

Hi,

If we type "LIST" in the shortcut field on RF you get a list of exceptions codes relevant for that screen.

Is there not a standard button/function code to do this? List the exceptions? I have a memory of seeing this button in some screen but can not find it anywhere. This is also described in the "cloud"-documentation for working with RF which I think should be the same for "non-cloud" S4..

Try putting the cursor in the Except field and press F8. That should bring the list of possible exceptions:

The 2532618 - F8 List function code shows buffered exception list indicates F8 function key too.

You might need to add some configuration as per note 1790206 - Missing RF Customizing

Thanks Dominik but unfortunately the F8/List-function does not work in the exception/shortcut-field. You explicitly have to enter "LIST" in the field because this is an exception code itself that presents the list of codes.. But there must be a way to add it as a button without development..

I'm afraid you are correct and I misinterpreted the note and SAP Help. F8 doesn't work with exception/short-cut field.

I've tried different settings of function code profiles in the RF framework. I was not able to get it to work. The list of exceptions is determined by the /SCWM/RF_PICK_EXCEPTION function. But it needs to be called from an RF-transaction so it can read the shortcut in line 96:

* Get exception from RF framework and current line
  lv_shortcut = /scwm/cl_rf_bll_srvc=>get_shortcut( ).

I'm pretty sure that your requirement can be implemented but it'll need some development.

I've opened an improvement proposal within SAP Customer Influence program to implement your requirement in standard: List exception codes with F8 or another function key

Feel free to vote on the proposal and spread the work - the more votes the proposal gets, the more likely SAP implements it.
