SAP compatibility with NextLabs

Hello All,

i would like to know, if Nextlabs can be considered as an alternate to GRC. If yes, what are the pros and cons. What is the road map(upgrade) for Nextlabs. How is it compatible with SAP. What are the all the points to be considered before proposing Nextlabs to Customer.

Please share any information, towards this.

I would welcome the opportunity to speak with you directly to answer your questions, but here are some quick responses:

1. NextLabs software solutions are Solution Extensions (Solex) to the GRC portfolio, it provides the next generation authorization model beyond Role Base Access Control provided by SAP in the current security model.The solutions compliment and enhance the GRC Portfolio.

a. NIST has provided guidance that all companies should be moving to an Attribute Based Access Control (ABAC) model

B. Entities that do business with the US government are required to implement ABAC

c. All of NextLabs solutions are driven by and empowered with an ABAC security/authorization model.

d. The NextLabs solutions are SAP Dynamic Authorization Management by NextLabs, SAP Enterprise Digital Rights Management by NextLabs and SAP Technical Data Export Compliance by NextLabs.

2. Roadmap:

a. There are no SAP prerequisites for SAP DAM or SAP EDRM.

b. SAP GTS is required for SAP TDEC.

3. NextLabs is an SAP Solex partner so these are deeply integrated solutions.
