ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model's viability with connection to Native HANA DB Artifacts

From what I learned, Transparent DB tables in RAP doesnt have resiliency compared to data persisted in HANA DB. Currently, RAP doesnt have any access to native HDB artifacts compared to CAP.

Does this mean CAP is more viable to implement than RAP due to this limitation?

Are there any plans for RAP to have access to native HDB artifacts?
