From what I learned, Transparent DB tables in RAP doesnt have resiliency compared to data persisted in HANA DB. Currently, RAP doesnt have any access to native HDB artifacts compared to CAP.
Does this mean CAP is more viable to implement than RAP due to this limitation?
Are there any plans for RAP to have access to native HDB artifacts?
High availability and disaster recovery are not yet available for SAP BTP ABAP Environment, but part of our roadmap. Reduction of the planned maintenance windows is also planned. Please refer to the last part my TechEd presentation Get an Overview and Future Road Map of SAP BTP, ABAP Environment [AD107]

RAP is an important element of ABAP Cloud. See also this blog post. Another element of ABAP Cloud is AMDP (ABAP managed database procedures) which allows access to HANA native features. AMDPs can be used within the implementation of a RAP BO.
I didn't get the point about resiliency. Usage of HANA is mandatory for ABAP Cloud.

Hi Frank,
I think what jastinc is asking regarding resiliency is what options does ABAP Cloud already provide to increase the system Availability. For SAP HANA Cloud there is this Documentation: Increasing System Availability. Is there anything comparable for ABAP Cloud?
