Archiving for custom reports

i am retrieving archived data (object PA_LDOC) in custom reports using function modules those are ARCHIVE_OPEN_FOR_READ,

ARCHIVE_GET_NEXT_OBJECT,

ARCHIVE_GET_TABLE,

ARCHIVE_CLOSE_FILE but i am confusing to do.

guide me and give correct approch.
