Creating COPA datasource

Hi all,

when creating a COPA cost based datasource

we find a set of characterstics and value fields and calculated key figures.

is that the only things available or else can get some more fields from controlling into that selection list and create my datasource

if yes can somebody help me how to do it.

Hi Neelu,

I dont think you can add more fields in the KEB0 screen apart from what is listed.

Of course you can still append the extract structure and populate the fields using user exit.

Ok, and these fields in the selection screen are the result of config of COPA in R/3 right and u have mentioned about the append structure do we do it in the normal way we do for locockpit and FI

or else do we need to follow some different methodology

and quickly can you kindly letme know about the option available in

SBIW

profitability analysis

Key figure assignment

what is this KEY FIGURE ASSIGNMENT ACUTALLY

is it something to do with the r/3 fields and BW

Please see some info about assigning key figures in my reply to your other thread.

And please read more carefully chapter 3 from the link posted by Danish. It'll answer many of your questions.

Additionally, there is some more info in the SBIW, under Create Datasource command (document icon, not execute one).

Hi,

Use Sbiw, goto profitability analysis and click on create transaction data source.

check those fields which are required.

thanks for your time.

ya i did check the doc how to copa extraction , actually what i want to know is when we create a datasource cost based we get a set of value fields and charc and calculated key figures right

is their any way we can include some more value fields in to that selection catogery like if i want packaging cost into that selection from a table which is controlling related

i think i am clear on it becoz i want few more fields apart from what is available in the selection screen of datasource creation
