Issue - Forecast Accuracy Metrics in IBP is calculated for Oct 2022 which is incorrect.
The Forecast Error Operator is set to run for the past month Sept-2022 (Time Scope set for Past with horizon = 1 and offset = 0) and the results should be updated for Sept. However, when the Forecast Error operator is executed, the values are updated for October month only.
Hello,
The output of the forecast error operator (for Demand Planning or Inventory Planning) is always to the current time period (i.e. "Now"). The Calculation Horizon defines the scope of the input data, but the outputs are always written to the current period. If the time portion of the calculation is Month and the current month is Oct 2022, no matter the settings in the calculation horizon, the outputs will be written to Oct 2022 period. It is possible to change the current period offset for the planning area, then the outputs would be written based on what that new "now" period is, but a word of caution in doing that because the current period offset could affect other operators and produce outputs that are not expected.
Also refer to the Help portal on the Configuration of Forecast Error Calculations.
Kind regards,
Chris
