hi,
I discussed SRM/CRM/XI I/F with each consultants today,
they said that SRM/CRM have own middle ware connector from EBP to R/3, R/3 -> EBP.
so they said that I/F(EBP(SRM/CRM) <-> R/3) should be used by their own connector, and said this is not XI area. However, EBP <-> SUS, EBP <-> CCM scenario can be considered or used by pre-defined content sap provide.
is this true?
thanks
venjamin
Hi,
Yes thats right, CRM has its own middleware but SUS and EBP used XI alobg with the pre delivered content from SAP.
Thanks,

Hi Venjamin,
Yes, CRM has its own middleware ( which uses BDocs). Also, SRM does not need XI to connect to an R/3 system ( it does so using direct RFC calls).
EBP <-> CCM does not necessarily need XI. XI is used only in certain cases, if you are trying to enable certain types of catalogs. There is predefined content available for this.
AS far as I know, EBP <-> SUS will need XI, and there is predefined content available for this.
Hope this helps.
Cheers
Manish
