Can I use the two differente SDI instances pointed to same HANA cloud? Recently we acquired other company placed in other region, our main company already has a SDI connected to our HANA cloud, so we would like to install a SDI instance in this other company and link it with our HANA cloud DB? This will work fine? If not, what is the best option for replicate data from two diferent databases, placed in different geographic plases, to the same HANA cloud DB?

Thanks best regards.

Yes, this is possible. This is a common scenario we usually see when customers wanted to have HA/DR setup- have two DP agent instances pointing to one HANA. While you are creating new remote source configuration in HANA cloud to acquire data from other company, ensure you point to new DP agent which is installed in other company. We always recommend DP agent to be installed close to source system.

Please note you can still use existing DP agent instance to load data into HANA cloud from your new company. But best practice is to have DP agent close to your source system to avoid any latency or performance issues.

Hope this helps.

Thanks,

Prathy
