Hi sandro.bunturi

To perform a test send, ideally to Gmail, you can simply send a testmail to a Gmail account. How you can send a testmail is explained in the following article: https://help.emarsys.com/hc/en-us/articles/360016384318-Testing-Sending-Testmails

Once the testmail got delivered, you can access the email header is described in this help article, and check whether SPF, DKIM and DMARC all pass: https://help.emarsys.com/hc/en-us/articles/360016353318-Tips-How-to-view-an-email-header

For testing whether your images work, including the open tracking pixel, you can launch a test campaign to e.g. your own email address and download the images once it was delivered. After allowing some time for our infrastructure to process this open, you can go to the analysis of your account and check whether your open was tracked correctly.
The more general email campaign creation workflow can be found here: https://help.emarsys.com/hc/en-us/articles/360016376238-Email-creation-workflow-The-email-creation-w...
How you can launch an email campaign is explained in more detail on the following page: https://help.emarsys.com/hc/en-us/articles/360016388238-Scheduling-Simple-scheduling

For checking the link tracking, you can insert links into your email campaign launch as mentioned above, click them when the email arrived in your inbox and check later whether the clicks are also tracked correctly.
A documentation of the email campaign reporting can be found by clicking this link: https://help.emarsys.com/hc/en-us/articles/8012120147857-Reporting-Screens-Email-Analysis-and-campai...

For the unsubscribe button testing, proceed the same way as for the open and link tracking above and check a little later whether your click on the unsubscribe button was tracked and processed correctly.

All information on how to navigate in the reply management of your Emarsys account can be found here: https://help.emarsys.com/hc/en-us/articles/360016359318-Email-Basics-Reply-management

Please let us know if there are further questions or something remains unclear. We are always happy to help.

Hi Norman,

I have tried to send a test mail and also launched a campaign with one recipient with my Gmail address, Emarsys analytics shows that mail was delivered but I did not receive any of these test mails which I tried to send.

Are there any additional configurations that need to be done before sending the first testing Email?

Best Regards,

Sandro

Hi sandro.bunturi

Can you please create a ticket for our customer support to have a look at this case in more detail. This way we can help you best to solve this matter.
When you create the ticket, please include the following:

  • a screenshot of the email campaign content
  • the sending domain you use to send the email campaign (or a screenshot from the Email Basics section of your email campaign)

Thanks a lot in advance for creating this ticket.

Best regards,
Norman

Hi Norman,

I am writing this reply in case of someone will have the same issue, hope it will help.

After the collaboration with the SAP launchpad team and our customer's IT team, we have created domains and subdomains for the Emarsys email channel. The SAP launchpad team then activated our system for sending emails.

When I tried to send test emails according to instructions provided by SAP support, I did not add a reply mailbox at Emarsys>Contacts>Reply Management>Actions(Here must be added reply mailbox containing the subdomain, which was provided to SAP support as a sender domain by You). In my case, this was the issue for not delivering the sent test emails.

Hope this Comment helps

Best Regards,

Sandro.
