Finding equipment

I have an enhancement, in that to find equipment, first we have to find by planning plant, if we cant find by planning plant, then we have to find by maintenance plant, if not maintenance plant then by category. Why this sequence and why it is fixed only to particular equipment category

If this is an enhancement then the sequence is up to you. In standard SAP you search equipment by many different fields in transaction IE05 0r IH08 Equipment list. If you have Fiori then use 'Find Technical Object' app.

Sorry but you haven't explained this sequence enhancement and why it is needed of standard.
