We are sending data from ECC through a custom program which will push the data to PI via background job.
How do we set up background jobs?

Hi,
Schedule your Z*(Custom program) via SM36 (job Scheduling).
If its se38 prog you can schedule it from the program menu-->execute in back ground..etc
Look at transactionSM36.
Please can you provide the steps

Please let me know is this done by functional team or Basis team?
In most companies where I worked, it was the basis team that planned the background jobs based on the specifications of the functional and development teams. But exact rules depend on your company/customer defined rules.
