How to run the MRP Separately for MRP Area & Plant totally independent from each other in SAP HANA?

Dear Experts,

I have created a Storage Location MRP Area as Z9000_FG1 and have assigned only one storage Location.

The same is assigned in MMR with the below data,

MRP2 View, Special Procurement Key "40" for Stock Transfer from Alternate Plant in 9000 location.

PIR has been maintained against the MRP Area

Now the issue is while running the MRP through MD01 at the Plant level system is generating the Requirement for demand uploaded in MD61 against the Storage Location MRP Area.

in MD04 the stock at Storage Location 9000 is zero hence system has generated the PR for STO which is OK but it should generate the requirement only if I run the MRP at MRP Area Level.

I want the system should exclude the Storage Location MRP Area (Z9000_FG1) while running MRP at Plant and should generate the requirement in MRP Area (Z9000_FG1) only if I am running the MRP at MRP Area Level.

Please help me to resolve this.

Thanks in advance.

Hello

SAP Note 211851-Documentation: Planning run and MRP areas explains that, “If you want to plan all the MRP areas of one plant, it is sufficient to enter the plant in the sequence list for the scope of planning”.

So if you really need to separate the planning run, you might have to implement an user exit. Check this blog for details, if you are using Classic MRP:
