G/L Account Rule

Hello Friends, I did search the forum before posting and found similar post but not quite what i'm looking for.

In SRM when ordering certain items into a dropship location an error msg is invoked (inventory cannot be brought into dropship plant). I have a requirement to only invoke that msg based on a certain G/L acct and regulatory acct.

I cannot find the program that drives the G/L account. I thought it was either the doc_check or doc_change badi. Can anyone advise?

Hi Jolee,

If you wan to implement your own message, you can do it in badi bbp_doc_check.

However, if you want to control a SRM system message that do already exist, you can have a look to SPRO where you will found "influence message" (do not remember the exact description)

If system message is issued from R/3, i guess you will have to do this work in R/3.

Thank you very much for your excellent response. If this is a setting that can be controlled in spro that will be great!

It is an existing system msg which i only want to display under certain circumstances.

I have checked in both SRM and R/3 however i am not finding anything related to message. By chance, do you have the path in spro?

Yann, I think I found it buried under srm-->accout assignment -->set output actions -->influence msg control.

It shows a group of business object and descriptions. For example, BUS2121.

Not sure how I would specify circumstances for displaying the message.

Any thoughts?

Hi Jolee,

I don't think the provided solution fit your requirement.

With SPRO --> Supplier Relationship Management --> Cross-Application Basic Settings --> Message Control --> Influence Message Control, you can change some messages (E/W/I/-)if they are raised by SRM, not if raised by R/3 (in that case they are encapsulated by a generic SRM message ID, so you can not use this feature).

But in your case, you can not activate or not this customzing under certain circumstances.

If this message is raised by R/3, then the best solution is to implement your own "driver" function to check accounting data, and to intercept this R/3 message to control it like you want.
