Linked Analysis - Account Dimension values are not passed to "Filter on data point selection"

Hi Every one

I'm trying to drill down to transaction details using linked analysis functionality but it seems Account dimension values are not passing to Data point selection to get the correct the transaction details.

In my first table I have Cost Centre, GL account( Account Dimension), and amount and in the second table Document Number, line item and Amount. When I click on the first table's amount cell, seems only cost centre value is passing as data point selection but not the both Cost Centre and Account (combination).

By the way, both the tables are built on the same model (new model and import connection) with has both Account dimension and measures. So by default Account dimension is added to both tables and it seems Account restriction (filter) of the second table is passing to data point selection rather than the taking it form the first table selection.

Is it a bug or is it a limitation of new model (with account and measures) i.e., is not suitable for linked analysis?

Thanks in advance.

Best Regards

Raj V

Raj, were you able to solve the issue?

We are facing the same issue where all dimensions (Generic and Date) are passed through Linked Analysis but Account Type Dimensions.

Hi, it should do the filtering in context. In the example below, I have two dimensions, Generation, and Leadership, on the y axis of a bar chart, and a table set up beside it. the goal is to pass the filter/selection from the chart to the table.

when I select the Gen X / Non Leader intersection it applies this filter on the table

My linked analysis settings are below:

Thanks Steve!

Yes, that's what I used but I have Account Type dimension called Account and cost Centre(generic), but it seems only cost Centre values are passing to the Data point selection but not Account dimension values when connecting to the second table(detail).

When I use generic dimensions then its working fine like your example but not with Account Type dimension - think it's a limitation of New Model with Account type dimension for linked analysis.
