Kernel Patch for Note 3157754 re: Origin-Agent-Cluster and Chrome v106

SAP Note 3157754 (SAP GUI for HTML: Google Chrome update will inhibit interframe communication (e.g. in SAP Enterprise Portal or NWBC)) is part of a series of Notes addressing an upcoming change in Chrome v106 (or v109, depending upon the source) that will prevent webpage access to document.domain and thus cause issues for same-site cross-origin frames within a browser page (e.g., calling WebDynpro ABAP, BSP, or WebGUI pages from a Portal). There are fixes for this, and this particular Note states that a kernel patch will provide the fix for the WebGUI, but so far only patches for kernels 7.77, 7.81, and 7.85 are listed, though the change is applicable to lower kernel versions as well. The Note hasn't been updated since release in May 2022, so I suspect that this patch for kernel 7.53 is in fact already released, and the Note just hasn't been updated to reflect that. But, of course, it's hard to be sure.

And Chrome v106 Beta dropped this week, and per my organization's rather aggressive browser policies, we're pushing it out to IT and test sites almost immediately.

Does anyone know if in fact the appropriate patch for this Note for kernel 7.53 has been released, and if so, what the patch number is?

Cheers,
Matt

The answer is that the patch for 7.53 has not yet been released, but is anticipated to be released in October. The Note has now been updated to reflect, however, that this will not be an issue until Chrome v109, due in January.
