SAP EP6 Basic Questions

1. I have installed the EP6 with SP9 and when I want to create a KMwindows System, I don't see the options also

2. what is the order of installing Patches, I have downloaded all the Patche 16.

3. Does EP6 supports getting e-mail and calender information from Dominos E-mail Server

4. I was told be a other portal vendors, that SAP charges per transaction for the data Transfer if you use SAP XI

I will appreciate if anybody can help, I am very new to EP, I just came from training, and trying to setup a demo portal.

Hi Jagraj,

1. You mean KMC? You have to start sapinst again and install it on top of EP.

2. You only need SPS 16 as java support packages are not deltas, they contain the full applications.

3. sorry, i've no experience with domino.

4. yes, it depends on the amount of data.

I have installed the KMC in EP6, but I still don't see the System and regarding suport packs I mean do I have to follow, I have following patch files

EP6CTRL16*.sar

EP6TOOLS16*.sar

EP6PORTAL*.sar

EP6KMC16*.sar

J2EERTOS16*.sar

SAPINST16*.sar

SAPWEBAS_JAVA*.sar

TREX61SP16*.SAR

In what order I should install these files

Hi Jagraj,

what do you mean you still don't see the system?

You first have to patch the J2EE engine, then EP, KMC, TREX.
