Capture change in the moving average price (MAP) of a product.

I would like to trigger an API call based on a change in the moving average price (MAP) of a product. Normally the MAP changes during the procurement process (purchase order receipt, invoice receipt) - is anyone aware of an event that gets triggered during these processes which we could use to initiate an API call?
