Upload Excel file to AL11 with CG3Z displaying file with random symbols

Hi, I am uploading an excel file in AL11 using Tcode CG3Z. The transfer format for data I chose was Binary since it is not allowing me ASC. After uploading when I open the file in AL11, it is getting displayed as a series of random symbols and characters like below

'PK##############!##!(!z#########[Content_Types].xml ###(########## ....

##x(#M{#Lf<###:YA@#1_$........./theme/theme1.xml#Y[##.... and so on.

Can someone please explain me what is going on? Is there a way to solve this? Or any other method to upload .xlsx file as it is into AL11?

Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

You have successfully uploaded a binary Excel file in its native XLSX format, that is to say a ZIP archive of many XML files. You can see that from the PK header, among other things.

If you needed to upload a CSV (often improperly called Excel file although it isn't!), then save it in this format using Excel and then you may upload it using ascii mode.
