Cloud connector error connecting to SAP content server 7.53

Hello,

We upgraded our test system content server to 7.53 and ever since our cloud connector will not connect to it. In Cloud Connector-->Cloud To On-Premise-->Virtual host (SAP Test ECC) - Internal Host (Content Server) - protocol HTTP, when I click on check availability under actions, the result is not reachable. And the details say:

SccEndpointValidator failed to establish connection to HTTP://"servername":1090: Caused by response HTTP/1.0 500 Internal Server Error. The ljs trace log file does not give much more details than this either. We have another content server for production that has not been upgraded yet (6.5) that checks okay. With the new content server, we now have an SSL Port number (1091) that we do not have with the old content server. We also have a different HTTP script (sapcs) as opposed to (contentserver/contentserver.dll) in prod. I would appreciate If anyone knows whether the new version of content server is not compatible with cloud connector or if anyone has any suggestions as to what to check for. Thanks!
