Hello kishore4990,

Before you choose any option for backup let me share some details and limitations around these options first. If you are aware of the steps, please skip to the last section for details steps in video.

There are two ways one can transport or move objects between environments.

  1. Content Network - Between SAC tenants via interconnected mode from Content Network. In other words you are sharing objects between SAC tenants and then collecting those objects in target tenants.
  2. Import/ Export - taking backup local and then importing that file to target system.

Now, theoretically both these methods can be used to backup objects as well. For example you are taking a local copy download of an entire data flow from your SAC tenant.

Limitation:

Backup taken via above methods can be valid only til +1 version of the target tenant and source tenant during taking backup. Then means if your source tenant release version is 2022.05 and after QRC update your target release version changes to 2022.08 then you can no longer migrate same objects. Only support scenarios are-

  1. target and source both tenant are on same version
  2. Target and source have +1 version difference between them.

Having said that here is a video tutorial on how to steps of transporting contents via content network:

Don't forget to up-vote and accept, if it helped. 🙂

Thanks,

Vijayeta

Sorry for late response. This is as per Help document. Let me know if you have additional questions

  1. In the Destinations window, select the category of the destination that you want to add:
    • System: Select this option to add individual systems, based on their URLs. Select a Landscape, and copy the URLs to the Systems list.

      Note

Two types of data centers host SAP Analytics Cloud systems: SAP data centers and non-SAP data centers. You can share to systems that use the same type of data center as yours. Systems hosted by SAP data centers use one digit in their URL, like us1 or jp1. Non-SAP data centers host systems that use two digits, such as eu10 or us30.

    • Customer: Select this option to add all systems that belong to one customer based on their ERP ID. Type the ID in the Customer field.

    • OEM: This option shares to all systems belonging to an OEM or partner, using their OEM ID. Type the ID in the OEM field.

You can not move objects between non SAP and SAP datacenters. In other word between US1 to EU 10. It is possible to setup connection between US10 and US20 thought. Just an example.

Thanks,

Vijayeta

Hi kishore4990

In the Destinations window, select the category of the destination that you want to add:

  • System: Select this option to add individual systems, based on their URLs. Select a Landscape and add the URLs to the System. You can also select the access type you need.

  • Select Add to add the destination.

  • Select OK when the destinations are set up.

  • If you want users to accept terms and conditions before importing the content, set the Terms and Conditions switch to ON.

  • Select Next to see an overview of your package.

  • If there are any problems, select the warning icon () to see how to fix them.

  • When everything looks good, select Export

  • Result: You can check the progress of your export from the Notifications list. You'll also receive a message when it's complete, and you can check the Export Summary to see the status of all the objects in the package.

  • When the export completes successfully, the package becomes available in the My Content folder of the systems you chose. You can edit the content, share it with other systems, or delete it from here.

  • Go to the Target system => Transport => Import =>My content folder. Here you can find the package that you have exported through the content network.

  • Select the file and click on Import ,You can find the file in My files/Public Folder.

Thanks,

Sowmiya
