Hi,

Please guide Inspection type field (assumed to put 03) importance in Order type dependent parameters for inprocess inspection .

In scenarios testing, below is the findings.

1) With only 03 inspection type present in OPL8 & No 03 insp type in Material master--not creating the Inspection lot in Production Order release.

2) By maintaing only 03 inspection type active in Material master , no value in OPL8 inspection type field , triggering the Inspection lot automatically when release of order .

In above how the field Inspection type value in OPL8 is imporatnce.

We are trying to map two scenarios for customer requirements:

1.Customer is requirement for the Inspection lot creation only for rework order(ZRWO) not for standard order.(PP01) for same material.

2.With routing it should not create inspection lot but when created through reference operation set Inspection lot should create.

Request your valuable inputs to testing the scenarios.

Regards,

Karthik

I believe the setting in OPL8 is used to specify a certain type of inspection type. I.e. I can create multiple inspection types.

03-001, 03-002, 03-003. So different control keys can only work with certain inspection types

You always need to activate the 03 in the material master if you want an 03 lot. If you set this on, a lot WILL be triggerred. It will be a standard 03 inspection type (variant 01) if no specialized inspection type is specified via the control key. You may find you have to activate multiple 03 inspection types in the material master for the control key functionality to work.
