Business Objects 4.2 Server Migration and Update

Hello,

we are currently using Business Objects 4.2 SP7 on a Windows 2012 Server. We want to migrate to a Windows 2019 server and perform an update to Business Objects 4.2 SP9. We want to continue using our existing CMS DB and keep all reports, users, universes etc.

How do we approach it?

1.Turn off old server

2.Install latest 4.2 SP9 version on new server with Windows Server 2019 as OS

3.Point the new BO install to the existing CMS DB and File repositiories (Input/Output).

Would this work or are there other necessary steps?
