Advanced financial closing integration with FCC

Hello experts,

I would like to ask about possible ways of integration of AFC to FCC or vice versa. Is there any way to connect these two tools? For example I run closing in FCC, because already have all processes set, all templates etc. and I want to give information to AFC when the task is done, because I do not want to go to FCC and then AFC too to mark tasks done. It is duplicating my work. Can this be achieved with API or some kind of integration?

Or should I stop using FCC and focus only on AFC, if yes can I migrate my FCC templates to AFC?

Thank you.

Best regards,

Daniel

Hi Daniel,

AFC and FCc are not designed to run in parallel, it is either or. Nevertheless, if a company is already using FCc, you can migrate stepwise, for instance moving template by template or entity by entity. It is not recommendable to mix up tasks in AFC and FCc into one template beyond a short transition time, as it might confuse end users and cause double work.

There is currently no migration tool to duplicate templates from FCc to AFC, as the data model is quite different. For instance there are task list models in AFC, which do not exist in FCc. Also, there is a completely different logic to derive parameters for jobs. Still, a lot of re-use can be done in terms of the closing structure and the "process knowledge" of the end users, as both AFC and FCc are closing orchestration tools with many similarities.

Best wishes,

Max
