Visual admin error

I get the following error when I try to connect using VA

"Unable to lookup connection from dausjfc0"

"Unable to lookup connection parameters from dausjfc0:56504"

dausjfc0 is the unix host for the XI server.

I use the following script file to run the admin tool

JAVA_HOME=/usr/java14_64

export JAVA_HOME

/usr/sap/XIT/DVEBMGS65/j2ee/admin/go

Hi Manoj,

You have posted the question in the wrong forum. Try posting it in "Application Server" or in "EP" sections

Just to help you out, are you able to ping the xi server, from where ever you are trying to run.

Make sure, the server is running or not.

Check whether you used the right portno or not.

maybe try posting that on the XI forum?

anyway where do you try to run the VA? the script looks like you do it on the XI box. If so, try with localhost instead of the hostname.

Check file adminCFG.properties in j2ee admin folder and use port LOGIN_PORT=XXXXX for your VA login.

Problem was resolved. I had to use direct connect instead of message server.
