MB1B 351 movement problem

Hello,

I am setting up a process whereby I move materials from unallocated stock in one plant to sales order stock in a second plant. I can create the stock transfer order and using MIGO I can issue stock from the source plant to the STPO. The problem I have is when I try to do the issue using MB1B, I get the message "Enter a sales order for special stock E". I cannot find the reason for this issue. Ultimately, I am automating the step of issuing the materials to the STPO in ABAP using BAPI_GOODSMVT_CREATE which behaves as if I were using MB1B. I cannot find how to create the goods movement in ABAP as if it were being processed in MIGO.

Any help in resolving this would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

John

BAPI_GOODSMVT_CREATE has a very nice documentation

Thanks for pointing that out. I did read through it and have used this BAPI numerous times before. My problem is more related to this BAPI working the same as MB1B rather than MIGO.

    • None that I know, also the 'Transaction MIGO is a purely dialogue transaction' in the note doesn't suggest any.

      • Also a sales order number should be required for special stock E 'Sales order stock' by definition?
      • You should add a tag like 'MM (Materials Management)' or have you a reason to us 'EWM - Extended Warehouse Management'.

Thanks for your suggestions. In the end there was a config change required to get the issue working on MB1B and then it worked with the BAPI.
