How to tell system to consider the longest date to calculate MAD (Material Availability Date)

Hello Experts,
In the current system (S4), per OVZ9, we have Without RLT unticked and With Purchase Orders ticked.
Please note, it is an external procurement (Procurement Type F)

And we know that, unticked Without RLT = telling the system to calculate Material Availability Date (MAD) per the material master fields: GR Processing Time, Planned Delivery time

Let me show the values related to them
Without RLT (unticked): GR Processing Time = 2 days; Planned Delivery time = 3 days;
So, we have 6 days (including Purchasing Processing Time = 1 day per configuration) to be considered to calculate Material Availability Date.
Include PO: created a PO with delivery date (29 days ahead) + Purchasing Processing Time = 1 day (per configuration) = total 30 days

Now, for sales order creation, the system has two options (6 days or 30 days) to calculate Material Availability Date (from Requested Delivery Date).

Per standard SAP, system is considering the earliest possible date (6 days per this example).
I may also have the values vice versa: Without RLT (30 days) and Include PO (6 days)

But the business wants the system to consider the longest/latest date to calculate MAD (Material Availability Date).

Please advise if this is achievable from configuration.

Hello,

I think you got yourself your answer, if business wants the system to consider the longest/latest date to calculate MAD, then you got to use RLT, that is the purpose of that time, to always calculate based on the longest date, no matter any other time.

Otherwise you'll have to look for a user exit to implement and change the logic, because what you ask it's all the opposite to the SAP logic, to always have material available at the earliest time to avoid any delays.

Regards.
