Getting License without Partner Edge or Account Executive.

Hey Everyone,

I am currently running on the 90-day trial of the S4 HANA fully Activated Appliance. However, I am about to have the license expire. I have reached out to the account executive multiple times and have gotten no response. I have applied for the partner edge program and am still on a pending status with them. My subscription is about to end. However, I do not want to lose the appliance I have used for the past 80 days. How would I get a permanent or 12-month license for the appliance if I cannot go through the account executive or the partner edge program? I also can't find anywhere to purchase them from the store.

Hi Antonio,

you will need a valid S/4 contract (either customer or partner) to use the appliance for a longer time period, same as for any other S/4 system.

You can check your contract status for both S/4 and CAL by clicking "Unlock" on the respective appliance template version.
But if you are missing the S/4 license getting in contact with your AE or partner manager should be the next step.

Best, Joerg

Depending on setup/authorizations, could me.sap.com also help with a view to existing commercial agreement/setup?

I'm still working to learn sap for me capability...

Hey Jorge,

Hey Jorge, I already unlocked the solution by using the 90-day trial license, which is how I am currently using the Appliance. It still prompts me with the message below. Also, I have reached out to my account executive multiple times and I am not a partner yet my application is still pending. Given that I do not seem to have either side easily accessible, is there any alternative other then reaching out to my AE or Partner Manager?

Hi Jorge,

if you don‘t have an S/4 license yet (besides probably the free 90-day S/4 trial from SAP Store ?), it would have to go via your AE, I‘m afraid.

Your appliance will stay in „suspended“ mode but it will not be terminated, so if you have sorted out the license question, you can apply your own key afterwards. The Getting Started guide chapter 3.3 has the details.
