​Including material group in Group Reporting (Mara-matkl)

Hello Experts,

Customer is designing S/4 HANA Finance phase and we will soon start the Group Reporting design.

The customer wants to analayze gross profit by material group. I see this field exists in ACDOCA and ACDOCU.

I heard that we need to be very careful regarding the level of detail to bring into Group Reporting because of volume considerations.

By including this field in the selection are there any other implications?

Will it require other fields to be brought in too and result in further complications?

Unfortunately, I don't have design points yet for Group reporting so no further info is available.
