Crystal Reports 2008 and Internet Explorer

We utilize Crystal Reports 2008 and have for years without issues until today. When I attempted to open the application I received the attached message. Closing the window allowed me to proceed to running a report, however, when the prompt window for dates displays, this message appears again and won't allow me to produce the report and locks up the Crystal Report program. Does this have to do with Crystal Reports 2008 being and old version and IE no longer supported? Is an upgrade of Crystal Reports necessary?. ie-message.png
