How do I create New Key Figures in 0IC_C03?

Is there a reason why SAP has not provided Unrestricted stock as a standard Key Figure?

When I try to create a new Key Figure do I need to create it as a Non Cumulative key figure and assign 2 new inflow and outflow key figures to it?

I tried creating the key figure. I donot see this in the update rules for 2lis_03_bx and 2lis_03_bf. How do I include new keyfigures in the cube and set the model up so that the key figure starts getting the values.

Hi Kumar,

i think in cube 0IC_C03 u can use the 0STOCKCAT to get the unrestricted stock. r else u can create a restricted key figure with restricting to the unrestricted stock catogry.

so i strongly belive that u don't have to create a new key figure just use a RSK in your report to get the data

I believe you are specifically focusing on Valuation of Stock in your post. I would like to determine stock inventory information in terms of quantity in Unrestricted stock at a storage location and batch level.

If the 0stor_loc and 0stocktype and 0batch are not updated from the infosources, how can we report stock information at the storage location and batch level.

Reporting will have to be limited to material/plant level.

One of the sap Note says:

<i>No accounting documents are created for certain flow types in R/3: For example, with movement types 311 (stock transfer from storage location to storage location), 343 (transfer posting of blocked stock to unrestricted-use stock), or 101 (goods receipt for stock transport order).

As a result, the 2LIS_03_BF extractor does not return any values to BW for these movements (the BWGEO field or 0CPPVLC InfoObject is initial).

In BW, the value key figures are currently also updated with the characteristics 0STOR_LOC, 0STOCKTYPE and 0BATCH, which is semantically incorrect due to the R/3 process model.</i>

So to avoid this problem SAP provides the solution :

<i>From the InfoSources 2LIS_03_BX, 2LIS_03_BF and 2LIS_03_UM, the values are no longer updated with the characteristics storage location (0STOR_LOC), stock characteristic (0STOCKTYPE) and batch number (0BATCH).</i>

So If the records do not have values for 0STOR_LOC,0STOCKTYPE and BATCH. We can not find the value of Unrestricted stock or Value at the time of upload. BUT we can find it out at the query level.

So I hope, we can not depend upon our own KF to reperesent the Unrestricted stock .We have to evalute it on fly at the report execution.(on Category =A)

Which Stock category should I restrict by to get the Unrestricted Stock information.

I tried asking this to the functional consultant but they donot know this as ECC/R3 does not use stock category terminology.

Info Objects we will create in RSD1 Transaction code choose type key figure. After creating Keyfigure you need to add this to your Transfer structure and then in to your Data Target.

u need to create as non-cumulative key figure. you need enhance the DS. you need add in TS and UR ands cube.
