Request: CRM BW Extraction

Hi Experts,

When i post the questions i receive lot of responses from you gurus and i also award points right now I would like to know what are the differences between the Extraction from SAP R/3 to BW (LIS, FI etc) when compared with CRM BW Extraction. And also why we are using the BW Adapters in CRM is there any other reason other than BDOCs? Please anyone could send me the good documentation on CRM Middleware and the Extraction process because I am new to CRM BW extraction.
