Workcenter capacity finite selected but not working

I have marked my workcenter capacity as finite. But MRP is creating many planned orders on same day and capacity is showing more than 100% on one day. Is there a way I can force it ? I am not using PPDS. I am ok to use user exits

Go to CM21 , and select strategy in the graphical menu. You have many profiles to choose from there. One is for finite capacity planning. choose that and you can dispatch operations with finite capacity in mind.

hmm… This is very round about. I was expecting some quick fix at MRP stage itself

Hi Sahil,

If you are using S/4HANA or ERP system , MRP will be always the assume the infinite capacity, hence scheduling will not considered by having work center capacity. either you can go for capacity leveling in CM21
