directory for archiving files with errors

I've been playing about with Component based message alerting and have had some success but then the idea of being able to put these errored files to one side came up.

So I figured the Archive Faulty Source Files should be useful in the sender file adaptor (which has fcc).

I've specified a valid and non read only directory, yet the file that has errored based on poor FCC layout (too many pipes |) sits in the processing directory and isn't moved to the error directory, thus holding up any additional files.

Error in comm channel monitor:

Conversion of file content to XML failed at position 0: java.lang.Exception: ERROR converting document line no. 2 according to structure 'G':java.lang.Exception: ERROR in configuration / structure 'G.': More elements in file csv structure than field names specified!

So is a fcc error which I believe the error handler should manage ok? However, the file sits there unprocessed and no further files will process !

Attached is a pic of the comms channel.

Check if SAP Note:

2074009 - Archiving faulty source files in file adapter

could help.

Regards, Evgeniy.

I found that my source file had too many pipes in one of the lines, it took forever to find as the file was so big...
