How do I download the GUI and log on?

I activated my instance. When I click connect, windows downloads a '.sap' file. How to I download the GUI to open it and when I download it, how do I obtain my credentials to log on?

Hello Obinna,

please see here: https://developers.sap.com/trials-downloads.html?search=sap+gui for a trial installation of SAP GUI.

This is a relatively old version (7.60) but it will hopefully do the trick for you.

Besides that: if your appliance (what CAL template did you use ?) has a remote desktop included, this very often contains an SAP GUI as well.

How do I log on to the GUI? Where can I find my credentials? I have a .pem file from when I was setting up my instance but I am unsure of how to use it.

Hi Obinna,

Check the Getting Started guide of your appliance for credentials.

The .pen file is only needed to connect to the Linux OS.
