Delta enable 0CO_OM_CCA_1

I read on a thread that you could delta enable the Plan data extractor 0CO_OM_CCA_1 by using an ODS object in between ? Can someone help me understand how to do that.

Will reward points for any suggestions or help.

Thanks

Richard

Hi Richard,

The ODS has an active table and a change log table. As a result of which whatever changes are retrieved in data loads there is a change log maintained for the same in the change log table. Moreover because of the reverse image concept, the same change records can be passed forward to an Infocube, thus providing the delta capability.

For better understanding on the tables within an ODS refer to the below link

Hi Richard,

Well,to my understanding if an extractor is not delta enabled ,then rather than directly loading the infocube with all the full loads, we can have an ODS in place and can have the overwrite functionality, and can even write a Start Routine to check with the incoming data and the Active table of the ODS to eliminate the same records, being processed.

Then we load the data from ODS to Infocube with delta mode.

Hope it helps.

Thanks,

Krish
