C4C Deep Link: Use other parameter than InternalID?

Dear SAP,

we want to create a deep link to C4C registered product. A link using the "InternalID" of the registered product work perfectly, for example:

agentmyXXXXXX.crm.ondemand.com/sap/public/byd/runtime?bo_ns=http://sap.com/thingTypes&bo=COD_GENERIC&node=Root&operation=OnExtInspect¶m.InternalID=#ID#¶m.Type=COD_REGISTERED_PRODUCT_TT&sapbyd-agent=TAB=TAB

However, within the system where we want to implement the Deep Link, the InternalID of the equipments is not known. Whats shared/known between the system is the "SerialID".

Is it possible to somehow create a Deep Link using the Serial ID (or any other ID) as parameter?
