Embedded BW multiple client for source systems

We use Embedded BW Systems (part of S4HANA). Here we have Quality system with multiple clients.

Traditionally we used QA3XX client for DATAsource->DTP data pull .

But we are in a situation where a sister concern's data is in S4HANA QA4XX (not QA3XX) and we have to pull that data into existing Master infoobjects and DSOs etc. Currently in Embedded BW our datasources are pointing to QA3XX CDS views. So updation in QA4XX CDS views data don't get pulled to BW.

Now in Embedded BW we can't replace QA3XX with QA4XX in source system. We are in a situation where we need both. Can this be achieved? Same system but different clients as a source.

Any links that may tell us how try this?

I was wondering.

If in a SAP BW flow, we change the datasource-source system client , do we have to re-create the transformation?

which means if we change our source system client , all our datasources may need a rebuild/activation of transformations?....so re-migration from dev system and that would mean re-test of all flows.

I'm afraid, but then you are and the end of the road. If you are using BW embedded NOT in an additional Client, it is impossible to connect other Source Systems. If you want to do so, you have to treat the embedded BW as a "standalone BW"Best Regards Roland
