Type ahead / value help search bug

I think there is a bug in the smart filter value help search/type ahead. If you check this example using the search field on company code value help doesn't do anything:

Also the type ahead is not working returning the whole list:

I have noticed the same behaviour for FIORI apps when using a search help through importing it in the Gatewyay. If the search help is defined as CDS view then the type ahead works fine.

I have also noticed that if the following annotations is set as false:

<PropertyValue Property="SearchSupported" Bool="false"/>

Then the "Search" field disappears and the type ahead works fine. Has anyone noticed a similar behavior?
