As stated by SAP, Onboarding can also be used without Employee Central. For my understanding, still a mini version of EC is needed. The question for me still is whether ALL Onboarding functions can be used. Especially the use of Onboarding tasks is questionable for me. In order to assign a task to a responsible person or group, I need EC users to do that? When having EC users in SuccessFactors, aren't there still license costs for Employee Central as well?
Generally, when an onboardee enters their information in the data collection steps, the data is stored in Employee Central as well and is transferred via integration to an external HRIS system and still no license costs?
