Shipping condition is not avalaible in TM freight order

Dear all,

we are using embedded TM delivery based. We would like to populate the shipping condition from the delivery somewhere in the freight order. Actually there is no field available. Does anyone face the same problem and solved it?

This is other topic which you have different approach to cover the requirement and dependence which TM license you are using Basic/Advanced you can use some functionality or other.

Hi Rogerio,

would it be possible to use the Carrier Selection you referenced to automatically select a carrier based solely on the Service Level (shipping condition)? As far as I understand, the definition of transportation lanes is a requirement and the main criteria for the Carrier Selction and the Service Level doesn't (or rather can't) play a role.

Shipping condition in embedded TM is mapping with service level codes, refer Oss note 2695744 - How to maintain Transportation Service Level Codes in SAP TM embedded in S/4HANA? - SAP ON....

You can see it in FU General Tab under (General Information - Service Level).

Depending on which S/4 version you are the field was also added only by note not to long ago to the Freight Unit General Data tab in case you were searching for it there:)

thanks for your help. It works as you said.

The reason why I want the shipping condition/ service level in the freight order is, that I want to use for the freight cost calculation. I can see the service level in the freight unit and I can select all the FU with one service level to create the freight order, but in the freigt order I cannot find the service level. Maybe I am blind ;-).

I would be also necessary, that I am able to change the shipping condition/ service level, because depending on the weight, in case of creating a Freight order with more FU, it could be that we have to switch from DHL to TNT e.g.

Hi,

For the carrier selection with Optimizer as the link referenced is need the definition of transportation lanes and there play other factors too for carrier selection/ranking.

If planning is doing manually you can also play with a condition(Carrier Selection Condition) assigned to the Freight order document type. Using the condition for carrier selection you can use the criteria of shipping condition taking from the FU (all FU might have the same shipping conditions) once is planning in the FO to select the carrier.(Data Crawler is needed for the condition in Data Access Definition).
