Api triggered Email

Hi,

We would like to trigger a transactional email to people who are not in sap marketing cloud through API.

Is it possible to send a email to someone who is not a contact/consumer on sap marketing cloud?

We want to do a member get member campaign and we want to send an email to the person that is invited.
