it does not seem to be possible

SAC Story with Table
and Hierarchy based Drilldown Dimension
on a BW Composite Provider Query ?

How to configure the Composite Provider and / or Sac to get this done ?

For Composite Provider (and Multiprovider ) based Queries mark in the Query Designer on the first tab:

Universal Display Hierarchy:

(X) Active for Rows and choose the Dimension.

Hi,

let me add: I have got a SAP BW 7.5.

With none of the existing queries of the composite providers the "SAC table Widget drill down" features works.

With all of the existing queries of the Multi providers the "SAC table Widget drill down" features works,
per Default, ad Hoc without of further configuration, independant of optimied mode or not.

I am curious to get to know Your solution suggestion
or is there a SAP Note documenting it wont work for SAP BW 75

Definitely it's supported with SAC story with live connection to BW, please check below help page for supported feature with BW live connection.
