Automatic inspection lot creation, in one step stock transfer between storage locations

Hi gurus,

It is possible to carry out a transfer between IM storage location (same plant) by activating the creation of an inspection lot automatically in some way (1 step transfer), ¿it is possible to create a inspection lot automatically in that process? if so ¿what inspection class would I need to use or configure in the material master?

Hello,

You can use the movement type 311 (or make copy of it) to transfer the stock from SLoc to SLoc. You can configure the movement type to active the QM and inspection lot origin - 08.

Assign an inspection type related to origin 08 in material master.

Then do the transfer posting with 311(or custom 311) the system should transfer the stock as well as create the inspection lot with 08 origin.

But i don't understand one thing, why you mention the movement type? you could control the QM inspection depending of the movement type also?

Hello,

you can control the QM based on the movement types. for example: movement type 311. You can activate that movement type as QM active and you can create a copy of 311 and make Z11 and make it as QM not active. So, you can choose what to do with 311 and Z11 with respect to quality. I hope I am clear.
