Do we have options to optimize inventory info cube in SAP BW 7.3

Initialization is done for inventory info cube seven year back. We have performance issue with inventory info cube now while updating the data to another info cube.

• Do we need to follow any periodic marker update
• Is it possible to have inventory info cube partition by calendar year
