BTP Central Fiori Launchpad: Default user parameter for custom app

Hi,

we've deployed a custom SAPUI5 app to the central launchpad.

It would be great to be able to use a user default parameter for that app which we can use as importing parameter in the app (specifically it is the plant a user can be assigned to in his user default parameters).

Is it possible to have such (custom) created user default parameters? Afaik it works like this for SAP standard applications:

• The user is assigned to a business role which gives access to an application
• If the user has that role, he automatically also has certain default parameters available in his launchpad settings

If it is possible to do that also with a custom build SAPUI5 app: What is needed for that / what do we need to do to reach that goal?

Hi daniel.schneider5 Did you got any solution for usage of default values in custom app deployed on cloud foundry and via Central FLP? I also have a similar situation and the only option looks like using odata service to read from s4hana.

Hi rakesh_personal,

No unfortunately we had to do a workaround as well. In our case it was a public cloud system, so we couldn't even fetch the default values, since there is no released API for that. We went for a custom business object, where we stored parameters for the user, which we could then fetch from BTP.

It would be nice to have a better solution for this.
