How to easily copy all data from a Local Member into a Key Figure?

Can we re-use the data of a Local Member, to now copy that data into a Key Figure?

What is the easiest way to do this please?

The final business goal is, to, for example increase the values of a Key Figure by 10 percent. Maybe by 20 percent next time for example.

Is there an easy functionality to achieve this?

Hi,

Explore VBA/Macro functionality. For e.g., select the row and enter % increase in pop-up which updates KF values. Click on Save Data to upload updated values.

Hi piyush.parekh, thank you. Could you show any such %increase VBA code sample?

Sorry, I am not a VBA expert. but sharing the logic if it helps.

1. Create a button to run the macro

2. Clicking the button shows pop-up asking user to select the cell range for which data is to be updated. User clicks ok

3. Another pop-up to enter % increase. click ok.

4. Add for loop in macro to read each value in selected range and multiply by % increase.

5. The updated value populates in each cell of selected range in step 2.

Hi Vincent,

Another easy way and not required the VBA is to change the axis to column, do the CTRL+C on the local member containing formula and CTRL+V (Paste with values) in the editable key figure with one click.

Example below:

Hope this give you another easy alternate option.
