Hi

Sorry for my (too late ) feedback , i had to manage others priorities .

The solution was indeed with the share assignement to the public folder to users.

It works fine now.

Thank you everybody for your help

Hi richard_codron,

If you are not sharing a story to a user with read access, he should NOT be able to open the story from any hyperlink (from other stories) .

Hello richard_codron,

Story "default link" can be assessed by administrator (user with at least BI Admin role) by default. Even if the story sits in other users "My Files" folder. This is because , Administrator gets access to Systems>Users folder access as well. Now the story may not be available under User (BI Administrator) pubic or my files folder. Though Admin user can access them from systems folder.
This is by design.

A general BI Viewer or Content creator on the other hand can not access a story by default link. Provided the story is not under "Public" folder or explicitly shared with that user (or team).

You can try this by saving a sample story to your own folder (My Files) > share story link with an existing users with no admin access. User wont be able to access story.

If a user is able to access story that is not under "Public" folder and is not shared with that users, I suggest check role assignment and see if any existing role grant Admin access to that users.

BTW - if required one can customize the URL as well.

Hope this answers your query.

Hi there,

Please review: https://help.sap.com/docs/SAP_ANALYTICS_CLOUD/00f68c2e08b941f081002fd3691d86a7/35b0bdae69254b04b075e...

In general, if you share access to a particular Story with a user and then modify access for that specific Story within the share settings then the hyperlink that they try to use will not allow them to gain access.
